Denver Seminary’s Turkey & Greece: Seminar in the Bible & the Aegean

Sun., 5/18: Due to time-zone changes, your departure day for flights from anywhere in the US to Istanbul, Turkey
Mon., 5/19: Arrive in Istanbul in the afternoon, ideally; directions to get to our hotel will be given at a later date
Tues., 5/20: Istanbul Archeology Museum, Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar, Sülemaniye Mosque, & the Bosporus Strait
Wed., 5/21: Group flight to Antalya, and visits to Perga, the Old City & Harbor, and the St. Paul Cultural Center
Thurs., 5/22: Scenic drive to Pisidian Antioch, then Colossae, and lodging at a thermal resort near Hierapolis
Fri., 5/23: Hierapolis, with St. Philip’s tomb; Laodicea; St. John’s Basilica; and lodging at an Aegean-seaside hotel
Sat., 5/24: Ancient Ephesus & its slope houses, the dramatic ruins of Miletus, and the same seaside hotel
Sun., 5/25: Smyrna agora, Philadelphia, Sardis (with worship on-site), and lodging at another thermal hotel
Mon., 5/26: Thyatira, Pergamum & its famous Asclepion, Assos, and lodging in a charming seaside fishing village
Tues., 5/27: Alexander Troas, Troy, and drive into Greece, visiting the ancient Neapolis Harbor; lodging in Kavala
Wed., 5/28: Philippi, with Lydia’s baptism site; and then to Thessaloniki for a great Greek dinner and lodging
Thurs., 5/29: Thessaloniki, Berea, Vergina (Aigai), and a Meteora monastery; dinner and lodging in Kalambaka
Fri., 5/30: Drive to and tour Ancient Delphi and its museum before continuing to Athens for dinner and lodging
Sat., 5/31: Corinthian Canal, Ancient Corinth (worship on-site), Mycenae, and Cenchrea; a special dinner in Athens
Sun., 6/1: Athens Acropolis & Museum, Mars Hill, and the Ancient Agora; the Turkey-Greece tour will end by 4pm
• Those on the 7:20pm London flight or on any other evening flight from Athens will be taken at 4pm to the airport.
• Those choosing to stay longer in Athens will be responsible for their own dinners, lodging, etc. on & after June 1st.
Mon., 6/2: Many illuminating biblical connections at the British Museum & Library; and a free evening in London
Tues., 6/3: Today you’re on your own: you can further explore London or arrange for your travel home or elsewhere
